My work group took half the day off on Wednesday to work at a Feed my Starving Children mobile pack event! They are finally back post-covid, and there were a lot of volunteers to work. With a bunch of engineers, we got the whole system down to a science pretty quickly. I was loading a bag onto the funnel for a while but then switched and was scooping the vitamin mixture in for the rest of the time. We packed something over double what the entire group average was. At the wrap up meeting, we wanted to know who won, but they only gave us overall numbers about how many thousands of means were packed. But we won, I'm sure. Afterwards we all went to Mad Anthony's for lunch on ZB. I think we spent longer i the restaurant then we did packing meals for the hungry...
Beth has been trying to figure out things to do with the kids in the time we have left, so this week she took Missy and Nat to Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. Alex didn't want to go (he's been there a few times before) and I was at work so I didn't either. With covid and the short staffing they have, they had to make a reservation and follow a set path through the place, which they didn't like as well as just wandering around, but the girls had a good time.
Beth's been getting all her labs and such done, prepping for her knee surgery next week....Nat starts school next week....Alex is getting close to the time to go to college, and is getting a little nervous....
