This is getting ridiculous. I'm trying to refinance the house through Navy Federal, and one thing or other keeps getting in the way. I was supposed to close today originally, and have been scrambling to get everything done and in on time, but things have conspired against me. First, the termite inspection. Terminix has been our termine protector for years now but they have failed to show up for an inspection twice now. They just don't show up, and make an excuse about schedules, and reschedule. First they were supposed to be here on the 5th, then the 9th, and finally after a few irate phone calls they got it done on the 10th. Today, it was the appraisal. It is severely late coming in in NFCU, and they already had to delay the closing until tomorrow because of that. Now with the appraisal finally in, they say the windows have to be scraped and painted, and I have to get some kind of waiver because the appraiser thought the fireplace was unvented (it is not). So the closing date has been pushed back until those items are taken care of. Hopefully I can convince the appraiser she is wrong about the fireplace.
