The annual pinewood derby was yesterday for the Cub Scouts. Alex did well enough to satisfy himself, even though he didn't get a trophy this year, despite the fact that I did everything with the car that I did last year but it didn't seem to help much. We all had a great pizza party and watched the movie "Down & Derby" which was pretty funny...it's a movie about a group of parents getting uber-carried away with their sons' pinewood derby race. But the real story was that the Fugate's house burned on the same day. Not clear if the fire started while the derby was going on, but it looks like their house was a total loss.

Sledding today! Yep, it's good and late in the season, but there hasn't been much of a chance for us to go sledding all year so when we had a heavy snowfall this weekend we took advantage. The Purvis' went along with us. It's no Kendall Hill that I had to sled on wen I was a kid but it's what we have, so we had a good time. We all had saucers...got to get some bigger sleds. Although, it was fun all hooking together to go downhill.
