It has been a good weekend. I have blisters. It's been raining almost continuously for a couple weeks now but there was a good break in the weather for the weekend, so things got done. Saturday Beth and I did a lot of cleanup outside the house, getting more of the leaves that fell after the snow started last winter and accumulated around the garage and behind the house raked up and dragged away. Brad and I went out to the fairgrounds to reclaim our Cub Scouts dunk tank. In the afternoon, Beth and I had planned to go to South Bend looking at some of the furniture places for a new TV stand to replace the entertainment center we've hated for a long time now, and moved to get the carpets cleaned behind it, and didn't want to move back, but we found one we really like in Warsaw so we didn't have to make the trip. So, with the time saved, we all went out geocaching (first family caching trip of the year) and found 5 altogether, but were prevented from finding another by the high water. We wound up in Pierceton looking under a porch behind a jewelry shop, go figure. Sunday was help a neighbor day through the church; I had signed up for physical labor and Beth and the kids to play bingo at a senior center. I spent a few hours raking, mowing, and cleaning gutters for an elderly lady in town with a few others. For as much work as there was, we could've used a few more people, but we got a lot done and she was very grateful. The rest of the previous week was pretty ordinary.
