Missy's class had a field trip to Kelly Park planned for today, but it had to be cut short by the weather (typical for this spring so far....really wet, and storms thrown in). They all got to the park, and got a few games and activities and such in before the weather broke. Fortunately there is a shelter at the park, but it got bad enough that they had to cut things short and head back to the school. They had to wait for the rain to let up so they could make it safely to the cars but they had a good time back at the classroom anyway. Yesterday was the Kendall Camper cookout and Alex's cub scout advancement and awards ceremony. We were also supposed to have a t-ball game but, as is becoming typical for this month, we had too much crammed in and something had to go. Missy chose the cookout (I would have too) so after school she got to go play at the teacher's house. Alex got to carry the flag forward for the ceremony, got his Wolf badge and advanced to the Bears level.
