The Super Bowl just ended a few minutes ago. I'm bummed the Cardinals lost, but not that bummed. It would have been cool to see such a historic loser win the big game, but oh well. We watched the first half at the Sams house, where the kids were great. Missy helped DeeAnn make cookies and Alex found all the old games in a closet (we played Battleship and Tiddley Winks). It has been an odd week. To start off, I whacked my head on a ceiling going downstairs a week ago today, which bled buckets (all over my hands, dripping onto my ear, etc) and resulted in a trip to the ER for me since MedStat was closed at 8:00 on a Sunday night. I got 4 staples in my scalp. And I stayed home from work on Monday with a horrible headache. Missy was throwing up all night Sunday, so she was home from school Monday as well. She was back Tuesday, but then on Wednesday, school was cancelled due to more snow. Thursday was Father's Night at preschool; but earlier in the day I came home from work early because Beth was sick. I took the kids to McD's for dinner before dropping Alex back off at home, then Missy and I had an evening out. Friday, school was cancelled again, for an unknown reason because there was no new snow, and I came home from work before lunchtime because I got sick at work very suddenly. I had the staples out at about 9, and felt fine even after that, but by 10:30 I was home and spewing at both ends. Repeatedly. A lot. It lasted until mid-evening but I felt awful until Saturday morning. Then Missy had some diarrhea again, which almost devastated Beth because it was our Katie day, and she has had a very rough week. Ultimately, however, we decided by afternoon that Missy was ok and went ahead with it. We went to a camper show in Fort Wayne with the Wilhites and Churchills, which was nice but the one in South Bend may have even been better. There were again some reaaaally good deals to be had if you were in the market. Missy turned out to be fine all evening too. Today we all seem to be pretty healthy. Hope it stays that way and school doesn't get cancelled again.
