Sometime this week is/was Jenny’s birthday. To celebrate, her folks rented out the hall down at Pike Lake and hired a caller to do some square dancing. Yup, a regular hoedown. Alex and Missy were all excited to go square dancing (and round dancing, and triangle dancing) for most of the day, but when we finally went there just after I got out of work we quickyl realized that it was going to be way too complicated for them, and all participants had to do it right or everyone would get all screwed up. So, Beth and I took them aside and we made up some dances while everyone else did the real ones. It was too loud for them anyway, and they both wanted to go home after a short while. Which was ok, since it was really hot in there anyway.
