Beth and I and the kids spent the weekend up at Laura and Thomas' apartment in Ann Arbor. We drove up Saturday morning; Laura had an idea to take the kids to this farm/orchard place outside of town, out near Domino Farms, I think. We took them there but the cold kind of snuck up on us...it seemed to get a lot colder all of a sudden in the afternoon and we froze. The kids only had light jackets, but they didn't seem to mind since there were a lot of those balloony jump-on things there, for $5 a pop...Not a lot of kids were on the simple trampoline-like thing so Alex and Missy got to go for a while extra. They loved it. There were also donuts, apple cider (in pumpkin-shaped sippy cups) and a hayride to the pumpkin patch where we picked out some very nice (but horribly expensive, compared to an actual store) pumpkins for each of the kids. The overnight went pretty well; maybe the kids are getting the hang of traveling. Sunday we went shopping at the mall, and Beth and Laura actually consented to taking the kids while Thomas and I went to watch the Lions game on tv back at the apartment (They won). We drove back on Sunday late afternoon.
