Alex has started preschool, despite being not exactly potty trained. He is also getting glasses. Last week we had his appointment at the eye doctor, and since the patch he won't wear has not been working, he's getting glasses. Monday he was fitted with frames; they should be ready in about a week. We had the preschool orientation Wednesday, which I saw very little of because we brought Missy (although it seems nice, and Alex liked it already) and his first day was Thursday. He loved it! And at least there are several other little boys in pull-ups too. We are now trying a different approach to potty training; he gets a sticker every time he poops in the potty and when he has 5 stickers he earns a Gordon the Tank Engine toy. We had 4 by Thursday but we are now stuck there. Friday I took the kids to McDonald's and the nature trail after work because Beth had a migraine (Alex pooped while we were out there) but this weekend was all about me. Saturday Beth and I went to Goshen to geocache...we got one, but Alex was attacked by mosquitoes while we were there. Savaged. At least a dozen bites on his head and neck. Nobody else got it like that. And he gets terrible welts. So, we quit caching (it was too wet anyway) and got some benadryl for him while we were out, then to a playland at BK and home. Poor kid, he was so itchy and uncomfortable. Saturday night was a fellowship night at Scott & Serena's house for all the church men. He had a cookout and we watched the NASCAR race (I would have gotten a door prize if Dale Jr. or Ken Schrader won, but no). Today (Sunday) was the fantasy football league draft, as toilet bowl champ from last year I got first pick (too bad it's a keeper year), and I chose Ronnie Brown of Miami. While I was doing that, Beth took the kids to a campground up near Shipshewana where Pam and Marve were camping, and was still out when I got back. So, I started installing the new garage door opener. I got it hung but not all attached.
