The mills up in MO are cool! especially the Dawt (say "Dot") Mill, which still operates and is now on the site of a big ol' resort where you can go to fly fish, canoe, tube, camp, etc, or stay at the Cotton Gin Inn. Dawt Mill was the only place around where there was a grist mill and a cotton gin, both of which were powered by the same mill. Also noteworthy is the fact that the waterwheel is only there so tourists can look at it...it was built because the guy who owned the place decided that you can't have a mill without a waterwheel. The mill is powered by a turbine.
