I guess I must be putting a lot of bile and venom about the navy on this page. Mom asked me "It wasn't really that bad, was it?" a few days ago because of all the navy-negative stuff on here. Let me ask my buds about that. Druti, JimEd, Woods, JB, Lisa K, Ben, E-money, Big Johnson, Rowdy, and all you veteran Walters/Pitts-era Trumanites...was it that bad?

For the first time in my life I beat THE MAN. After I complained about the bill I got the other day THE MAN decided it wasn't cost effective to pursue the matter for verification so the bill is just being wiped out. Nice to know that the government is interested in the truth if it's cost effective. they oughta change that scene from "A Few Good Men."
Jack Nicholson: "You want answers?"
Tom Cruise: "I want the TRUTH!"
Jack Nicholson: "THE TRUTH ISN'T COST EFFECTIVE!!!!"

Another reason to hate the navy! I got a letter from THE MAN telling me that I was overpayed before my recent separation (bull hockey), I owe the government $74.71, and under some Act of 1982 or some other Act of 1996 I have to pay within 30 days or they'll tell on me. And they really want to work with me to resolve this matter blah blah blah. They did however give me an appropriate address to give the finger to.

The condo in Virginia is up for rent. We fired our realtor and hired one whom we thought might show a mote of interest in us, and he immediately did some research and found that our condo is priced about $10,000 too high for what's been selling in the area. You'd think that the other realtor would have gotten a clue about how to sell our place after four months, but all she did was complain about how nobody was calling her wanting to buy it and she was working soooooo hard blah blah blah...plus if we hadn't called her once in a while we'd never hear a thing from her. Civility prevents me from naming names or agencies, but if you want me to tell you what agency to avoid (it's big in Virginia, it's two words with a "&" in the middle, and its initials are R&W...ah hell, it's Rose & Womble. Don't bother with 'em.)
